An important and extremely active [24-7] part of the security mix at Boston Logan Airport is man’s best friend.

Highly trained Massachusetts State Police Officers and their canine partners are out and about checking the airport from one end to the other.

While K-9 Units are usually spotted in the public areas of Logan patrolling the terminals both inside and outside, they are also doing their thing behind the scenes.  K-9 Units are truly a team.

They work and train together.  They go home together and actually become part of the handlers family.

K-9 Units are part of the many layers of security in place at the airport that services over 25 million passengers a year.
